The Role

Global Enterprise & Mobility provides mobile broadband connectivity; digital media, entertainment, and content; and related value-add services to the commercial airlines, business aviation, maritime and other mobile industries. 
As the Advertising Operations Manager within the Media and Applications arm of the Global Enterprise and Mobility division, you will be responsible for all aspects of digital ad campaign management operations and will report to the Head of Service Operations. You will work closely with our internal teams and our external advertising partners to guide and oversee the operation of advertising campaign management and data analytics to fulfill the needs of our multi-sided market of partners, venue operators and their passengers. 
You will manage a team who own the campaign life cycle from receiving an Insertion Order through Trafficking, Reporting and Analytics. You will work with Business Development and Account Management during the sales process advising on ad supply and demand. You will ensure the efficient and timely processing of campaign launches including receipt of creative assets from partners, verification of compliance with specifications, trafficking rules, etc. and post launch optimization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of AdOps and data analysts
  • Collaborate with advertiser and publisher account management teams to define ad campaigns and maintain alignment on overall ad strategy
  • Manage ad campaign setup, trafficking, scheduling and QA of campaigns across multiple in-house platforms
  • Manage ad supply and demand inventory: available campaigns, effective dates, remaining budget, run rates, etc. and action any issues with account managers and planners
  • Manage data analytics demand including experimentation (design, execution, analysis, publishing), machine learning optimization, and adhoc data exploration requests to drive achievement of business OKRs 
  • Monitor active campaigns, ensuring operational health, processing of inbound partner data feeds, and production of regular performance reporting 
  • Collaborate with account managers, advertisers/agencies and vendors as needed to drive campaign success, resolve issues and manage operational optimization actions
  • Ensure the production of timely data for billing purposes and support financial reconciliation on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Drive continual improvements to streamline and improve quality and effectiveness of day to day operational activities 
  • Work with Product and other departments to influence internal ad and media platform roadmaps and overall e2e campaign delivery lifecycle
  • Represent Ad Operations in cross-departmental business planning discussions
  • Keep team up to date with AdOps best practices and industry trends 
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of and experience in web and native advertisement technology, standard display ads such as Interstitial, Rewards Ads, Native app install, etc. and ad monetization strategies
  • Great team management skills with the ability to create an efficient and well-structured work environment for your team servicing a high throughput, time sensitive, multi-source and geographically distributed business demand 
  • A passion for operational excellence, strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and pride in the creation of end to end efficiencies
  • Experience in leading data analytics teams to deliver actionable insights and reliable management information to inform campaign management, platform usage, and overall business strategies
  • Interest and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, startup-like work environment
  • A can-do, positive attitude, willing to take the initiative and a strong desire to get things done.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Outstanding ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams, and set & manage stakeholder expectations
  • Mature communication skills with the ability to listen, evaluate and make decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ability to create and present complex messages in clear and concise reporting, tailoring messages for various internal and external, business and technical audiences
  • Experience influencing internal product and technology teams to improve campaign results and drive operational efficiencies
  • International experience, working with distributed teams across multiple timezones
  • 3+ years experience in ad operations, 2+ years managing a team
Desired
  • JIRA/Confluence for workflow management and documentation
  • Hands on experience using Tableau and Grafana for BI and data visualization
  • Revive ad engine experience
  • Media and content management experience
