Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Production Controller / Assembly Supervisor to join our team.  In this role, the ideal candidate will supervise the activities of the assembly team.  Plan and assign work based on priority and skill requirements.  Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Ensure quality levels are at the required level.  Foster an attitude of service within the assembly team.  Monitor the upstream workload and anticipate varying needs.  Follow up on the status of material shortages and schedules.  Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, QA, Program Managers, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure work orders move and expectations are met.

Requirements
  • 5+ Years of experience supervising personnel or equivalent. 
  • Plan work assignments for the group on the basis of priority and worker skills 
  • Assign duties to workers and evaluate worker performance 
  • Implement company policies and procedures 
  • Examine product according to the knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards to ensure acceptability 
  • Review work orders, product specifications, technical instructions, and facility requirements, requisition tools. 
  • Adapt easily to changing programs; flexible to do tasks assigned 
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to effectively mentor employees 
  • Effectively analytical, planning and organizational skills 
  • Effective interpersonal skills with employees and customers 
  • Effective problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism when representing the company 
  • Demonstrate leadership and people management skills
  • Must have an exceptional ability to multitask.
