As a resource for ViaSat’s Business Reporting Team, you will be responsible for employing creative methods of interpreting, visualizing and reporting of subscriber data. You will collaborate on various projects to improve our group's ability to gain key business insights and optimize business decisions. You will work with business areas such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Care and Field Operations to capture requirements and develop relevant reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations to assist business unit professionals on acquiring insights and promote self-service analytics. As a team, we strive to uncover high-impact business opportunities and develop data-driven recommendations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience designing and developing dashboards using Tableau Desktop or Power BI for various organizational metrics and indicators using best practices and industry standards.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Business Intelligence, Analytics or Data Warehousing technologies
  • Requires a complete understanding of the business intelligence development life cycle including the ability to conduct interviews and capture the needs for desired outcomes for the BI solutions being built.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative to provide beyond basic responsibilities along with the ability to optimally present to the target audience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science or other related field

Preferences

  • Tableau Certified, Power BI Certified
  • Experience with Alteryx building workflows using multiple data sources, functions/formulas, and macros
  • Knowledge of various Business Intelligence platforms (i.e. Oracle OBIEE, Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy, etc.)
  • Ability to build and execute queries across multiple database platforms (i.e. Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Experience with automation of data processing and task scheduling

The starting salary for this position is $80,800 annually, but an offered salary may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
