Job Responsibilities

  • Billing Systems – Data query software development, implementation, training and data mining responsibilities:
  • You will be a key member of the Global Billing Operations Group in assisting with managing residential and businesses’ subscriber billing and payment processes by utilizing your data query and process implementation development skills.
  • Develop custom processes to support ongoing billing processes in utilizing automation software and scheduling tools including Alteryx, SQL, Excel, etc. in lieu of requiring IT
  • DevOps team to re-develop existing products, plans and/or workflows. 
  • Direct implementation and training of custom processes with Billing Group. Monitor outcome and results.
  • Direct custom system process to process billing batches required per bill cycles to ensure bill cycle charges and credits processed correctly. 
  • Assist in maintaining the Viasat Billing AWS’ Virtual Private Cloud for the Netcracker subscriber billing data, subscriber payment data and Equifax subscriber transaction data.
  • Assist in triage billing data requests, gather requirements and facilitate ad hoc report with a quick turn-around time
  • Assist in maintaining documentation of database workflows, requirements, policies, and procedures as they relate to Business Intelligence Reporting of billing and payment activity data.


Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors’ degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent comparable direct experience
  • Requires communications industry business experience
  • Requires 3 years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor
  • Experience in data query software, preferably SQL, SPLUNK, Python, and/or Alteryx
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills (Must be able to use lookup and pivot table functions)
  • Must have excellent oral communications skills, and writing skills

The starting salary for this position is $61,625 annually, but an offered salary may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. This position may also be eligible for other cash or stock incentives, including Viasat’s Employee Stock Purchase Program, which allows Viasat employees to purchase Viasat stock at a discount.
