Job Responsibilities

This intern assignment is for the Consumer Services US marketing team and will focus on channel marketing. You'll work closely with our Brand Manager to understand how thousands of individual retailers across the country market Viasat Internet, and leave your mark by helping to improve processes, resources, and know-how. 

Depending on your interest and experience, your projects could include:
  • Developing tools, job aids, or contests to drive engagement in call centers across the US, where hundreds of agents talk to our customers each day
  • Identifying new functionality and creating new content for our WordPress Multisite, a tool that's used by 400+ independent retailers
  • Delivering new content to better set and meet customer expectations through our Owned and Earned media channels
  • Providing ad hoc competitive research, creative execution, and reporting
Above all, you'll be a champion for the Viasat brand and will help enable those on the front lines to better serve our customers. If you're interested in the intersection of brand marketing, customer experience, and the sales funnel, this may be the role for you.

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field.  
  • Exceptional communications skills: written and verbal.
  • Creative thinker with an interest in the connection between Sales & Marketing
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic, must be creative, self-motivated and able to take the initiative.  
  • Able to commit to a 10-12 week internship
