As one of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work in 2020, Viasat has a passionate, engaged workforce. We’re looking for an Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Manager to drive ESG across the company. This role will work cross-functionally with internal partners to align on key initiatives, and will influence the business to drive improving metrics across sustainability and ESG measures. The candidate must excel at engaging in cross organization collaboration and bring passion, curiosity and an all in approach to tackle complex challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Program lead for ESG reporting for the company
  • Create and implement company-wide plan for collecting, storing, validating and distributing ESG data and content for reporting and responding to requests from key partners
  • Develop and deliver presentations related to ESG strategy, performance and roadmap
  • Respond to key ESG surveys, inquiries and ratings agencies (MSCI, ISS, Sustain analytics, Bloomberg, as well as customer requests)
  • Set and perform due diligence and regular monitoring for ESG metrics
  • Maintain inventory support for publicly reported ESG metrics
  • Collaborate with internal professionals to create ESG content development
  • Creative website content development and maintenance for ESG/Sustainability
  • Identify emerging ESG trends and legislation and incorporate them into ESG strategy
  • Assist with multi-year ESG roadmap development and execution
  • Perform peer analysis and identify benchmarking indicators
  • Assist with ESG target setting and implementation of initiatives

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in an ESG related role.
  •  ESG reporting and disclosures with solid understanding of the role of ESG data.
  • Broad business and technological acuity to integrate metrics on ESG performance into systems.
  • Highly organized and results-oriented with validated experience running cross-enterprise reporting processes.
  • Stays up to date with global standards related to socially responsible/ESG investing and reporting including but not limited to UN Sustainable Development Goals, GRI, CDP and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.
  • Expertise in building rapport across business units and corporate functions to influence process or policy changes. Understands business drivers and operational processes.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills working with Senior Executives and External Stakeholders.

The starting salary for this position is $97,750 annually, but an offered salary may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. This position may also be eligible for other cash or stock incentives, including Viasat’s Employee Stock Purchase Program, which allows Viasat employees to purchase Viasat stock at a discount.
