Job Responsibilities 

As a Design Verification Engineer, you will be part of a verification team responsible for the full cycle of RTL verification for FPGA and ASIC designs.  Over the span of a project, you may be asked to implement design verification planning, development of test environments and test cases, hands-on debug with the design team, and ensuring quality via collection and analysis of coverage metrics.  You will be working in a verification environment using current tools and methodologies such as SystemC/C++ modeling, an emulation platform, and the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).

At Viasat, you will be joining a passionate and motivated team of systems engineers, design engineers, and design verification engineers developing cutting edge communications technology with a focus on high quality and time to market.


*Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

*Strong object oriented programming background (C++, SystemC, or Python)

*Implements industry standard design verification tools (Cadence, Synopsys, and/or Mentor)

*Demonstrated ability to verify digital logic designs written in Verilog/System Verilog

*ASIC or FPGA design verification

*Experience designing, developing, and debugging using SystemVerilog and UVM

*Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

*Demonstrated communication skills to inform and influence peers and supervisors


*Proficiency with design and/or verification of ARM based SoC and/or signal processing-based designs

*Experience with verification using an emulation or quick prototype platform

For Colorado-based jobs only: The minimum for this position is $99,600 annually; however, base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
