As the Manager of Operations, you will oversee the coordination and administration of teams responsible for performing the duties associated with Global Business Solutions’ (GBS) Operations.   This includes staffing, organizing and managing program related activities associated with key areas such as international market entry, international operations, compliance, distribution, and other ancillary services. This role will be responsible for managing the quality and efficiency of complex B2B products, services, and programs included in the Viasat Global Business portfolio.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own and lead complex technological and operational processes for a wide range of GBS customers, including small businesses, commercial clients, and enterprises.
  • Lead and supervise daily program activities including but not limited to the following:
    International market entry, coordination, and logistics (including but not limited to Latin America and Europe)
    - Distribution and Warehouse
    - Onboarding and Managing of New Strategic Opportunities
    - Compliance
  • Establish operational KPIs that measure the performance and quality of GBS products, services and programs. This includes the ability to create and deliver on actions and recommendations based on these KPIs.
  • Establish proper protocols and procedures for GBS to enter international telecom markets, including coordination with the legal, compliance, and other international Viasat teams.
  • Establish proper processes, procedures, and reporting for managing large scale partner networks, both domestic and international, to ensure consistent high quality programs and partnerships.
  • Lead a broad range of complex supply chain processes, such as supply planning, demand planning, import/export operations.
  • Manage and implement the proper operational compliance checks and balances, including but not limited to standards established from PCI, PII, and SOX regulations.
  • Ability to represent the GBS business during contract negotiations with partners, customers, or vendors.
  • Work closely with many cross functional teams, including Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, legal, and Customer Support teams to implement and support high quality technical solutions for commercial and enterprise customers.
  • Provide vendor management.
  • Ability to decide and act on prioritization of several competing projects and resources.
  • Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Review established procedures for inefficiencies and make adjustments as deemed necessary
  • Promote positive working relationships, along with internal and external clients
  • Support all direct reporting personnel with day to day management via daily and weekly meetings in addition to providing assistance with internal and external customer escalations


  • 5+ years of managing Operations, Technology, or Supply Chain related teams
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams
  • Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a constantly changing industry 
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully motivate and inspire direct report, peers and other internal stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams so as to achieve common goals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Maintains a sense of urgency to ensure all initiatives are addressed in a timely manner 
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • US Citizenship
  • Masters degree in engineering, technology, or business field
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%
