Job Responsibilities
Our Global Business Solutions team is constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to connect businesses around the globe with high-speed internet. Together, we are blazing new trails to give businesses the connectivity flexibility they need to thrive — and we're just getting started.

This is a highly cross-functional role where you will be working in a fast-paced team of marketing professionals and sales and product leaders to drive growth of our business connectivity solutions across the U.S. 

  • Develop and execute marketing programs designed to drive top-of-funnel leads.
  • Strengthen our channel partner relationships, maximizing co-op and creating a strategic schedule to support them at every stage of the lead funnel.
  • Regularly evaluate sales feedback, customer trends, third-party research, and martech system metrics to identify new ways to grow our customer base.
  • Provide executive-ready market insights and recommendations on strategy.
  • Develop creative and diverse customer-facing marketing collateral (such as website content, blogs, and presentations) that can relate to both business and technical audiences.
  • Direct internal marketing teams and external agencies by providing clear requirements and briefs that guide results-oriented integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and maintain up-to-date competitor and industry intelligence, reporting actionable learnings that help maintain Viasat’s position as a leader in satellite connectivity.
  • Champion the understanding and execution of account-based marketing (ABM) programs including audience identification, lead scoring, customer value prop, go-to-market strategy and measurement frameworks.
  • Identify joint marketing opportunities to expand brand visibility via channel and strategic partnerships. 
  • Keep current with leading-edge marketing industry trends and best practices to drive greater scale and success.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials.

Requirements
  • 8+ years relevant Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing experience
  • 1-2 years managing / supervising people
  • Demonstrated success in a marketing role working for a nationwide company in the telecommunications or cable industry
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Marketo (or similar marketing automation tool), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiar with Tableau or similar analytics software and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent project and budget management skills
  • Strong background driving ROI based lead generation campaigns
  • Experience supporting indirect channels and managing reseller relationships
  • Ability to create impactful and compelling marketing content
  • Strong writing skills, especially for creative briefs and results reporting summaries
  • Eye for detail and the ability to ensure projects of any scale are delivered on time 
  • Solid teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Must be located in Carlsbad, CA or College Station, TX
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Willing to travel up to 20%

  • Experience in a telecommunications industry similar to Viasat
