Job Responsibilities

Are you interested in joining a deployment team that is designing, documenting and installing equipment for ViaSat-3 and future commercial broadband satellite communication ground systems? Do you enjoy the challenge of working in the lab or data centers with systems, networking and IT design engineers to setup physical end-to-end system environments? As a Mechanical Engineer, you will learn the components and connections of many end-to-end systems. You will help design and document new end to end systems while expanding and maintaining existing ones.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related subject area
  • Previous hands-on experience with SolidWorks Electrical (SWE)
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good collaboration skills
  • Travel up to 25%


  • Previous experience working on SolidWorks for assembly projects
  • Data Center or lab deployment experience
  • Satellite/Wireless modem project experience
  • Scripting experience using Python, JavaScript, REST or equivalent language
