Job Responsibilities

Viasat is looking for a talented RF IC Design Engineer to join our growing RF IC Design team.  In this dynamic and exciting role, you will have the unique opportunity to support both our government and commercial programs and work on a diverse and wide breadth of products.  You will collaborate with a design team to perform advanced level Microwave/RF/mixed-signal System on Chip IC design of complex circuits. Circuit designs include: RF and Microwave (>5GHz), analog/baseband and digital subsystems such as: mixers, VGAs, VCOs, PLLs, LNAs, DACs, etc. With your high level of experience, you will design custom IC circuits on State of the Art SiGe and CMOS processes, particularly at 90um SiGe process technologies and CMOS process technologies at 65nm, 45nm and below. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related/equivalent
  • US citizen or permanent resident required
  • University studies or experience in RFCMOS/SiGe RFIC design
  • Familiar with SiGe/CMOS RF and Microwave IC design and associated CAD tools
  • Analog IC design coursework
  • Electromagnetic coursework
  • RF and Microwave circuit design coursework
  • Semiconductor coursework
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferences

  • Master’s Degree in EE
  • Previous internship experience is a plus
