The Role 
Viasat is looking for an Operations Manager (Installations and Logistics), to join our Viasat’s growing consumer broadband team in Europe. You will integrate a dynamic and challenging environment. Your attention to detail and integrity will make you successful in the role to ensure the highest level of installation quality and subscriber satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Manage and direct the established field service partners to ensure timely service delivery and quality: forward and reverse in-country logistics, equipment inventory levels, installations and service calls.
  • Manage and support the installation and reseller network needs across Europe.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of existing and potential new vendors, developing and implementing strategies for improved results by selecting vendors, changing vendors if required, and managing the most effective vendor for each responsibility segment.
  • Improve daily tasks, procedures and tools to facilitate ongoing management of partners and metrics. Recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Maintain and report field services quality metrics, SLAs, KPIs, etc.; and influence partners and vendors to achieve the target results.
  • Develop and deliver product and installation service training programs necessary to support Viasat retail sales and fulfillment.
  • Ability to perform technical inspections to ensure installation and service quality standards; as well as remote technical troubleshooting.
  • Participate in strategic technical workshops and be an ambassador of Viasat service technical capabilities. Represent the company in Field Service and Technical matters.
  • Provide support and assistance to group sales and marketing departments as required.
  • Provide ongoing operational reporting and cost analysis to Executive leadership.


  • 5+ years’ experience in an service operations role.
  • Ability to manage strategies to achieve corporate objectives around fulfillment and service quality and field training.
  • Effective and collaborative problem-solving style, working both with internal as well as external teams. 
  • Ability to work independently on a daily basis and also be a strong “team player” within an international team
  • Ability to develop appropriate metrics and resulting reports to drive effective and timely improvements.
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer (Microsoft Office, Internet) skills
  • No restrictions on travel privileges
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent in work experience.
  • Travel up to 30%


  • 3+ years previous Field Operations management experience.
  • Satellite, Cable, or ISP industry experience.
  • Rural Field Operations experience.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience in consumer home equipment and installation process
