In this role, you will grow your engineering career as you:

  • Reviewing processes and key performance indicators for our quality management system and lead initiatives for improvement
  • Have opportunities to learn and perform effective internal audits
  • Analyze data related to our inspection processes, drive top issues to root cause and corrective action
  • Contribute and provide guidance to evaluate quality performance of Viasat products.
  • Help coordinate Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Failure Analysis Requests (FARs) for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams as you purpose and implement process changes or new solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Some experience in Quality Engineering in support of electronic assemblies or manufacturing processes including SMT CCAs, Box Build and Test
  • General knowledge of process improvement, lean manufacturing or root cause and corrective action
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Power Point
  • Strong math, statistics, and data analysis skills 

Preferences

  • Experience in process improvement, root cause and corrective action, failure analysis, lean manufacturing, data analysis
