Job Responsibilities

Systems Engineering - Understanding, defining, and supporting the complex systems that bring the internet to life across satellites to the home, business, airplane, and more.  Responsibilities will range from requirements definition and allocation, creation of system architectures, analysis, systems integration/test, to analysis in support of troubleshooting of developed products.

Some of your other responsibilities include: 

  • Learning and applying new technologies.
  • Working closely with customers to understand their journey/user stories.
  • Solving technical problems associated with the interaction of complex systems.
  • Documenting and communicating those solutions clearly to DevOps teams for implementation.
Requirements

  • Understands and demonstrates the need for customer-centricity
  • Willingness to dig in and help debug and resolve issues
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP, UDP, Multicast, IPv6)
  • Strong programming experience with Python, C++, C, Go, or Clojure
  • Strong curiosity and desire to learn
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and writing)
  • Ability to see both the broad and narrow picture
  • Expertise in large scale distributed software systems
  • 8+ years of relevant experience. 
Preferences
  • Experience in telecommunications Industry
  • Experience building global systems
  • Experience with edge device management, IoT protocols, etc.
  • Experience with SDWAN (Software Defined Wide Area Networks)
  • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
