Job Responsibilities

Performing Supplier Source Inspections on both In-process and Final Inspection PWA's and also on Box builds. This position will perform Source Inspections BEI Rochester, Minnesota. The Source Inspector will receive an email request from the Supplier to arrive at a certain time/date to perform the inspection. The Source Inspector will respond with the confirmation. The Source Inspector will be performing on-site visual product inspections at Viasat’s select suppliers using current PWA/Box build drawings, BOM’s, IPC 610, Inspection Instructions & PO requirements. Tools for the inspection include Microscope/Mantis Vision system. Upon completion of the inspection, the SI will generate a Quality Inspection Report (QIR) into the Oracle system.

Requirements

•2+ years of inspection experience with PWA's and Box builds.  Some cable inspection is a plus. 
•Must be familiar with BOM's, Drawings and other specifications.
•Ability to work overtime and possible weekends 
•You’ll be required to check hardware/cable installation per drawing
•Complete First Article inspection as required
•Finalizes Quality reporting in Oracle
•IPC 610 Certification or ability to obtain certification
•Reviews Purchase Order for Quality Provisions/Requirement including Supplier C of C and Reach/ROHS requirements
•Computer skills are essential
•Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills 
•High School Diploma
•U.S. Citizenship required
