Role Details:

We are looking for a UI/UX Product Designer contractor to work on a short-term 4 - 5-month assignment to develop various products for our customers. The designer’s role will involve working closely with stakeholders such as product managers and customer success managers to ensure those product requirements are successfully translated into usable designs. You will need to be comfortable working with multiple remote teams of collaborators. Being a good communicator is a must. We are a very collaborative team.

With multiple products and multiple stakeholders, context switching is definitely a feature of the job. Understanding of web and mobile technologies will be a major asset in this role as there will be a need to collaborate closely with engineering to deliver working products.

To be successful in this role, you should have an eye for color and shape and be able to translate requirements into practical product features. You should be passionate about the aesthetics of products. Ultimately, you will help us build products that are easy to use and visually appealing to our customers.

Job Duties:

Understand the needs of the business, customers, and other stakeholders.
Comfortable working independently and converting verbal or written requirements into tangible artifacts.
Collaborate with product managers, systems engineers, design leads, product/visual designers, & technology leads to define problems and design solutions.
Create and coordinate deliverables including -
UI assets, user flows, wireframes and/or prototypes, copy decks, interaction design and/or visual designs for business and consumer-facing products.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the integrity of customer experience and design is maintained throughout the lifecycle of all products.
Efficiently communicate across teams and time zones.
Adhere to a variety of brand guidelines and consistency across UI designs.
Ensure the design output (e.g. concept sketches, mock-ups, prototypes, layouts, and user interface components) are precise and can be easily interpreted and implemented by our software development team.
Conceptualize and iterate original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design problems spanning all form factors / responsive design
Conduct continuous design improvements, support, and balance team recommendations with research, analytics, usability testing, customer insights and other quantitative/qualitative insights as appropriate to advance ideas
Act as the user advocate during the design process and be prepared to speak to design decisions made on behalf of the user.

Must Haves:
3+ years of experience designing outstanding digital products, especially in designing consumer-facing apps
A Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, Interaction Design, or related experience.
Strong portfolio outlining design thinking, interaction, and visual design across a wide range of enterprise and/or consumer user experiences.
Passion and thorough understanding of designing digital experiences.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with Design, Product, Marketing and agile Software Development teams.
Fluency with common design software - Adobe Creative Suite applications, Sketch, Invision, and other prototyping tools, Office/Google Apps.
Ability and willingness to push and/or adhere to design constraints.
Good understanding of web and responsive design and to design for tablet, phone, laptop form factors
Passion for technology innovation, and dedicated to keeping up with the latest industry trends
