Our team is developing the gateway signal processing software for Viasat's third-generation, global satellite internet network. “Viasat-3,” our revolutionary GEO satellite, is unprecedented both in its terabit per second capacity and its flexibility in directing that capacity where it is needed in real-time. Viasat-3 Flight 1 will cover the Americas upon its launch in 2022, and Flights 2 and 3 will subsequently cover the Europe/Middle East/Africa and Asia/Pacific regions. These spacecraft require an equally innovative gateway architecture, and we are developing an ultra-high throughput GPU-based modem to that end. Our team is responsible for its design, implementation, integration, and test.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer with real-time experience and an interest in signal processing and the latest parallel computing architectures and algorithms. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and test software to perform signal processing, data/configuration management, and failover for our modems, while remaining a critical part of the launch of Viasat's broadband internet service globally.
