We are looking for a Pre-Sales and Product Engineer to play a pivotal role in growing and supporting our Brazil wholesale, enterprise and government business. The right candidate will be energetic, articulate, and have a proven background in understanding customer requirements and turning those requirements into fully defined and operational solutions, as well providing advice for solution improvement and customer success.
Key responsibilities are:
- Provide Sales Teams with detailed, technical support throughout the sales cycle
- Understand customer pain points and define solutions to solve customer problems
- Design end to end technical and commercial solutions, including relationship with external and internal suppliers seeking for best solutions
- Deliver articulate and compelling value propositions around Viasat products and services
- Carefully listen and understand customer needs and explain how our offerings can address those needs
- Establish relationships with key technical, operations, marketing, product management and program delivery stakeholders within our clients
- Identify new opportunities for growth and propose solutions
- Own the customer engagement - driving the requirement gathering and scoping process and leading customer solution workshops
- Respond to the technical elements of RFI/RFP/RFQs
- Increase deal value and accelerate the sales cycle by engaging at multiple levels in the customer organization
- Assist Viasat support structure staff in interfacing with the clients to resolve complex issues
- Present a persuasive business case, sound technical arguments and a clear value proposition
- Ensure solutions are aligned with Viasat product strategy and have the commitment and backing of the product, engineering and delivery organization
- Condute trials, pilots and homologation of 3rd party and Viasat solutions with customers
- Be the technical focal point for customer’s enquires and owner of solution implementation
- Provide support on contract development and negotiation
- Provide executive reports and updates
- Deliver Customer Demonstrations, Technical Presentations, Proposal Documents, Workshops and Training
- Technical and Commercial Proposal Documents and Customer Business Case models
- BA or BS degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineer or related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of technical pre sales or related experience in the telecommunication satellite enterprise/wholesale/internet service provider markets
- Experience in technical and commercial proposal elaboration, RFI/ RFP responses
- Experience in end to end solution homologation and implementation support
- Technical background on WAN and LAN solutions (VPN, MPLS, QoS, Internet Access, WiFi solution)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills capable of building strong relationships with external and internal customers
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to both, technical and non-technical audiences, anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view and enable decision making process
- Careful attention to detail, strong organizational skills and disciplined follow-up with customers
- Advanced in oral and written skills, in both, English and Portuguese
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- A willingness to travel given the location of our client base. This should cap out at no more than 30% of your time
- Desirable working experience within Brazilian carriers
- Desirable experience on satellite solutions (Vsat)
- Experience on product management / owner/ launch will be a plus
