• Communicate quantitative and qualitative understandings of trade spaces, challenges, and opportunities in the mobile terminals space to internal and external customers
• Develop and manage multiple hardware product and technology development roadmaps and communicate these roadmaps both internally and externally
• Build a strong relationship with internal and external aircraft OEM stakeholders, technology partners, customers, and suppliers to understand critical needs and relevant solution opportunities in each segment
• Assessing and tracking requirements related to access networks, customer contracts, line fit offerability, and certification and the prioritization of development to fulfill these requirements based on value analysis
• Curate Product Ideas and Define Solution Concepts with the product team
• Formulate product strategies that align and support Aviation business goals and key metrics
• Define and oversee the lifecycle management process for the hardware products
• Analyze market data, product specific sales, margin, demographics and competitive product releases and pricing strategies for assigned product lines
• Drive roadmap, strategy, and requirements management processes
• Collaborate with other Product Managers on their strategic roadmaps, while aligning the product strategy and portfolio with complementary opportunities and with overall corporate strategic directions
• Determine and monitor key metrics for the product and drive actions through the System Architect and DevOps teams to achieve and maintain product success through defined product success criteria
• Recommend build, buy, or partner strategies for various aspects of the product solution
• Drive and manage strategic partners and suppliers to maintain strong product metrics throughout the product lifecycle.
• Experience working with internal development teams to fulfill product roadmap
• 5+ years of experience in a product development or product management role
• Ability to influence others without possessing direct authority
• Ability to build consensus with others via sound decision making, business acumen, empathy, and self-awareness
• Bias for action while balancing the need for data-driven decisions
• Proven success in a fast-paced work environment
• Understanding of product lifecycle management, gathering product metrics, adapting to market dynamics, and creating new strategies
• Ability to create a product strategy that supports key business goals and objectives and to translate it into product requirements for product teams
• Experience working with engineering teams, project managers, and program managers on formulating implementable and measurable execution plans
• Experience as a product influencer with a proven ability to maintain deep technical and business knowledge of various market segments.
• Experience working with Marketing and customer teams to understand customer use cases and translate into engineering requirements, assign priorities and determine value opportunity.
• Independent problem-solving ability.
• Bachelor’s Degree in technical area.
• Up to 25% travel both domestic and international.
• Experience with the aviation industry
• Master’s Degree in Business, Science, or Engineering
• Product Management Certificate
• Capable of serving as a customer-facing technical resource
