Responsibilities
As a member of the Operations Process & Technology group, you will work closely with Sourcing, Procurement, Accounting, Legal, and IT to support business systems, provide technical and analytical guidance, and improve operational excellence as Viasat expands its systems footprint and user base globally. A successful candidate will bring technical acumen, a desire to learn, and experience in the Source-to-Pay business process to quickly understand the specific business needs of Viasat, assist in the scale of new and current systems, and move the business forward while positioning it to scale optimally with projected future growth. - Serving as the primary point of contact for Indirect Procurement production systems support and other related Source-to-Pay systems.
- Research and resolve daily business system issues as reported. Coordinate with internal and external resources to find, test, and implement solutions following Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) processes. Maintain issues log and follow through to completion.
- Ensure day-to-day prioritization is effectively managed and communicated to stakeholder and support teams.
- Effectively maintain the relationship and interactions with many different roles across several organizations, including end-users, business process management counterparts, and software developers.
- Plans and executes unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.
- Configures system settings and options, garnering proper approvals where needed in a Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Government Defense Contracting environment.
- Provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications that are in line with stakeholder expectations and business evolution needs.
- Utilize data and industry-standard methodologies to identify gaps and systematically solve problems to ensure Viasat is meeting business and compliance requirements in a digital and automated way.
- Contribute to a culture of agility that embraces minimum viable products (MVPs) and fast feedback/learning as part of process innovation and dynamic course setting.
- Collaborate with a hardworking team of Process Managers, Process Engineers and Analysts, Business Systems Analysts peers, and Software Developers to achieve results.
- Become a trusted resource across Viasat, supporting the delivery of solutions at scale that optimize sophisticated business and technical challenges within a flat organizational framework utilizing a mix of ERP, SaaS, and in-house developed solutions.
- Support the annual Government Supplier representations and certifications renewal campaign using DocuSign and ERP Data.
- Support audit activities when needed, which may span DCMA (CPSR), AS9100, and other related agencies.
- Develop, refine, and advise on relevant metrics that demonstrate systems effectiveness, transformation progress, risk mitigation, and the associated impact on business performance.
- Stay abreast of industry technology trends to ensure Viasat's systems and processes are competitive, efficient, and aligned with the needs of the business.
- Encourage peers and stakeholders to be creative and develop innovative solutions aligned with the vision.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of demonstrated ability in IT, Finance, Operations, Procurement, or Supply Chain within a high-tech and/or US Defense Contracting environment
- Knowledge of operational functions such as Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Procurement, Receiving, Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP), and Supplier Management
- Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies.

- Knowledgeable on industry-standard methodology in technology solutions
- Ability to define and articulate business needs and functional requirements of solutions
- Strong analytical skills to support independent, high velocity, high-quality decisions

- Strong skills utilizing standard Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint
- Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) degree or comparable business experience in job-related fields.
- US citizenship required
- Ability to travel up to 10%

- Experience with SQL query development and report writing tools, programs, and software capability
- Experience and understanding of US Defense Acquisition compliance requirements (FAR/DFAR)
- Experience with regulated environments such as ITAR, FAA, etc.
- Experience with Oracle EBS (R12) or SAP S/4HANA for Direct Procure-to-Pay
- Experience with Coupa for Indirect Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
