Job Responsibilities 

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical design of communication electronics products and test fixtures, from conceptual design and analysis through transition to production, for defense and commercial applications. You will also create solid models of equipment, analyze hardware as required to meet customer environment, and assist with product testing.

Requirements

•Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering and/or related field

•Previous experience or exposure to standard industry CAD software

•Basic knowledge of industry standard drafting practices

•Ability to commit to a 10-12 week internship

Preferences
•Currently pursuing a Master's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering and/or related field

•Previous internship experience in the space industry

•Previous experience with SolidWorks, SolidEdge

•Previous experience using GD&T

•Previous experience using Ansys Mechanical

•Geometric Design & Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge

•Working knowledge of metal fabrication processes, especially machining, casting, welding, and sheet forming processes
