Job Responsibilities 

You will be working on the next generation of Link-16 tactical data links as part of the NGTDL business area within Viasat’s Government Systems (GS) division.  NGTDL’s Link-16 data links are used by all branches of the military and exist on a number of different platforms such as fighter jets, helicopters, ground vehicles, ships and weapon systems.  In this position you will have the opportunity to troubleshoot, test, design and maintain new and innovative data links.  An ideal candidate will have a sound background in electrical engineering concepts (digital, analog and/or RF) while, most importantly, be able to communicate and work within a cross-functional team consisting of other hardware, software, firmware, systems, mechanical, and systems engineers.  Being an individual contributor while being part of a strong, collaborative team is equally important.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Eng/Signal Processing, Electrical Engineering & Communications Technology, Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Systems & Control, and/or a related field
  • Exposure to Digital design, Analog design, and/or RF design
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Clearance


  • Experience using various lab measurement equipment
