Job Responsibilities 

Our team is working on developing products that enables Viasat to increase its global footprint for providing connectivity solutions to various customers. Our work is directly related to Viasat’s mission to connect the world as it provides a software platform for providing broadband connectivity services! As a member of our team, you will seek problems in the communication space by working on Wholesale Core platform which serves as a gateway for any customer to use Viasat internet or connectivity services. We work on the design and development of APIs using cloud architecture, employ technologies in AWS/GCP or Azure for providing SaaS/PaaS solution, and CI/CD development in a DevOps fashion. Our ideal candidate has integrity, can work on a team, ability to work in an ambiguous environment, ability to explore and evolve from past experiences, and passion for tackling exciting problems.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

* Experience with developing software applications in C, C++, Java, and/or Python

* Understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals

* Coursework or experience with foundational Computer Science concepts related to software architecture and design, algorithms, and data structures.

* Strong oral and written communications skills

Preferences

* Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

* Experience using software development tools like git/GitHub, Jira

* Experience with tools and languages used for automation

At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. For United States-based jobs only: The pay range for this position is $88950 to $147350 annually; however, base pay may vary within this range depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
