Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Analyst Intern to join Viasat! In this role you will provide critical support by performing administrative duties for the day-to-day operations of company-wide DEI strategies, programs, and initiatives. The DEI Analyst Intern will help implement Viasat’s various DEI initiatives and work cross-functionally with the Talent team and other People & Culture teams to support our DEI objectives. The DEI intern will understand what DEI is and why it is important to an organization, day-to-day activities of the life of a DEI team member (i.e. DEI coordinator, DEI recruiter, DEI specialist), what is included in a DEI strategic plan and the importance of Employee Resource Groups.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in activities related to the DEI strategic plan (i.e., identifying DEI metrics, analyzing data, etc.)
  • Shadow DEI team members in understanding a day in the life of a DEI team member
  • Help plan and attend ERG meetings and events
  • Support DEI Early Career Activities
  • Support and participate in activities related to Talent Development and DEI
  • Support the DEI team on drafting communications, capturing research related to DEI, and event planning 


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Computer Science, Public Policy, Communication, or related field
  • Experience working in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Basic software development skills
  • Some coursework, project, or work experience in Project Management and Communications
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to commit to a 10-12 week internship


  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in one of the above degree fields
  • Previous related internship experience
