Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management (CM) Analyst to support government and commercial projects in Carlsbad, Ca. As a member of the CM team, you will work with program managers, engineers, and other CM professionals to process hardware and software changes within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software application, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of drawings, schematics, software and/or documentation/CDRLs. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret and apply policies, processes, procedures, and technical data standards and maintain awareness for continuous improvement opportunities.


  • 4+ years of experience in Configuration and Data Management
  • Ability to define and customize Configuration Management plans for new projects with limited supervision
  • Experience planning for, and conducting, customer audits of product configuration, change records, and CM practices
  • Experience with contractual Data Management; analyzing contracts and submitting data to customers and supplier organizations in accordance with legal obligations, managing a data schedule
  • Demonstrate knowledge of part categories, drawing types, change orders, variance management, and document control processes
  • Review and process part/product changes efficiently, accurately, and consistently
  • Analyze Bills of Material (BOMs) for continuity between as-designed and as-built libraries
  • Facilitate Change Control Boards; review change proposals in a group or virtual setting, and manage open items to closure
  • Ability to use part revisions, product BOMs, and change history data to validate CM practices and/or end item characteristics
  • Familiarity Configuration Audit and Reporting
  • Familiarity with CAD applications and software library tools (SolidWorks, Mentor Graphics, Perforce, and Git)
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills, organization, problem-solving skills, and adaptability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Experience handling highly regulated, classified, or sensitive data
  • Ability to mentor others regarding CM work instructions and the fundamental principles of EIA-649C and AS 9100
  • Must be able to obtain a United States Secret Clearance


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CM certification from an ASQ accredited source
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel and Word knowledge
  • End user familiarity with Agile PLM or other PLM systems
  • Experience in Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry and/or Space Industry
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Advanced MS Excel and Data Mining a plus
  • Experience reading and understanding contracts and/or statements of work and Data Item Descriptions

For United States-based jobs only: The pay range for this position is $75400 to $124300 annually; however, base pay may vary within this range depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
