You will be dealing directly with our airline clients around the world, being responsible for software deployments and helping to resolve operational issues on Viasat applications.
This is a hands-on technical role offering an ideal opportunity to learn and use a wide range of technologies. Some of the tasks you can expect are:

  • Providing tier-two technical support services to Viasat’s global airline client base for a variety of our software products and services.
  • Working hands-on and identifying root causes of issues for both mobile and web apps.
  • Handling the configuration and deployment of service critical enterprise software products.
  • Owning and driving the end-to-end incident management processes.
  • Communicating with internal and client partners, keeping them updated on issue statuses and resolutions at all times.
  • Collaborating and working across functions with our Engineering, Product Management, Service Delivery and Commercial teams.
  • Identifying and proposing amendments to processes and services to improve quality, technical operations and overall customer experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Science, Computer Science, Applications support or related field.
  • Logical and curious, with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Some knowledge of web technologies: HTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS.
  • Some familiarity with relational databases (general queries, joins, etc.) such as MySQL.
  • Some basic command-line Linux knowledge.
  • You thrive in a customer centric role.
  • Irish or EU citizenship or valid Irish work permit.

Experience with or familiarity with any of the following is advantageous: Java, Kubernetes, Kibana, Jira, Confluence, Git (BitBucket/GitHub), REST APIs, YAML
