If so, come join our Secure Network Solutions team as a Program Manager and be integral to supporting new and existing secure network solutions. We are developing technology and products that are revolutionizing the secure communications industry by providing unprecedented speed and capabilities to our customers across the globe.

As a Program Manager you will manage a spectrum of internal development, capital, and contract programs; across a variety of related technologies.  You must be able to adapt new technology quickly, consensus build innovative solutions to new challenges, engage with multiple customer groups and drive execution.  You will have the opportunity to support the growth of the business not just through leading development of technology but also through supporting proposal development and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for development program execution through leadership, program scheduling, financial budgeting & reporting, managing contract deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks, and interfacing with program customers.
  • Work with business area management to develop strategic plans, create market/product offerings and opportunities, analyze the ability to execute to derived cost/schedule market requirements, and develop proposals and recommendations for new products and capabilities.
  • Development of program staff through delegation, coaching, and training.
  • Lead the performance measurement and improvement of our customer’s experience on the Viasat Government Segment.
  • Serve as the primary interface to the customers representing the entire program team and Viasat as a whole.
  • Apply a collaborative/consultative working and leadership style, relying on common sense and personal competence for persuasion and consensus building.

Requirements

·     8+ years’ experience in program management developing and delivering integrated product and software

  • Experience developing network, security or wireless communications technologies
  • Proven ability to lead a cross functional product development engineering team
  • Demonstrated experience with both EVMS and Agile development framework and practices
  • Management of both co-located and geographically distributed teams.
  • Proven ability to manage proposal efforts and participate in ongoing business development
  • Demonstrated ability of manage program financial performance
  • Proven communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience managing different contract types and risk management practices
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline (i.e., EE, CE, CS)
  • US Government position.  US Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain when administratively feasible
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%


Preferences
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering (EE, CE, CS)

  • MBA
  • Experience with Government systems and service acquisition
  • Proven experience with taking products through NSA certification
  • PMP certification
  • Active DoD US Secret Clearance

At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. For United States-based jobs only: The pay range for this position is $155250 to $252000 annually; however, base pay may vary within this range depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
