Job Responsibilities


As an intern of Viasat's fast paced production test engineering team, you will develop test solutions and tooling - supporting commercial Viasat programs, products, and services. Test solutions will vary across RF/Microwave technologies, Power/Digital circuitry, Peripheral interfaces (GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi), and software/firmware/certificate configuration management. Test tooling will support CI/CD pipeline development, regression test automation, and data analysis automation.


Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Demonstrated ability in integrating hardware and software

  • Experience developing software and automation in Python, C#, LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams

  • Able to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship


Preferences

  • Previous internship experience

  • Electrical, electronics, and/or RF troubleshooting experience

  • Computer networking experience

  • Git or Perforce experience

At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. For United States-based jobs only: The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $70.00 hourly; however, base pay may vary within this range depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
