  • Does Viasat attend career fairs and events for service members?
    • Yes, we do! Check our events calendar to see where we’ll be next.
  • I’m leaving the military in 12-18 months. When is a good time to contact you?
    • Congratulations – and thank you for your service! We suggest reaching out approximately 90 days before you’re eligible to start your new, exciting career.
  • Do I need any specific paperwork from the military?
    • Nope – we don’t require anything special. Just find your team, apply to the right position, and remember to indicate your veteran status when applying.
  • Are there certain jobs that are more relevant to my military experience?
    • There are no “military-specific” jobs at Viasat. We employ military, military spouses, and active reservists at all levels of the organization. Apply to any position that matches your skills and experience level! Opportunities include, but aren’t limited to: Technical Service, Customer Service, Project/Program Management, Cyber Security, Physical Security, Product Quality, Technicians, and many more.
  • I have gaps in my employment history due to frequent moves in support of my spouse or partner’s military career. Are there opportunities for me at Viasat?
    • Yes, at Viasat we understand frequent moves can be part of the military experience so please let us know in your cover letter if that's been your case.
  • Does Viasat support the National Guard or Reserve?
    • Absolutely! We want to attract and retain the best talent – and that includes those who continue to serve their communities and the nation. Ask your Viasat recruiter for specific details.
  • How does Viasat support veterans internally?
    • We encourage you to check out our veteran-focused employee resource group, made up of employees who have served or support the military. Viasat’s Veterans Alliance is dedicated to attracting and retaining top military and veteran talent. They also connect with external organizations to provide support to local military and veteran communities. In addition, Viasat celebrates important holidays and service birthdays with appropriate fanfare!
