Job Responsibilities
  • Advance the business through introducing new ideas, strategies, products, processes, and customers in a collaborative manner 
  • Key contact and escalation point for regional customer accounts:
    • Accountable for the customer relationship, strategic objectives, regional growth strategies, and customer intelligence
    • Works with internal teams and customers to understand and develop their business goals for products and services identifying opportunities for Viasat
    • Ensures the customer is satisfied with the services they receive, improve areas of dis-satisfaction, and securing on-going customer success
    • Be the customer voice within Viasat
    • Be a trusted advisor to the customer
    • Supports internal teams and the customer as a contract escalation point, manages contract amendments, negotiations, and change requests
    • Communicates status and risks with the customer and the business as needed
  • Manages business area strategies, forecasts, profit, and loss:
    • Coordinates, prioritizes, and sets the execution plan across stakeholders and teams 
    • Oversight for billing, remedies, purchase orders, and accounts receivable
    • Manages all sources of revenue and cost for the programs and support functions
    • Develops and manages the financial and operating plans for the regional business area
    • Provides shipset delivery and aircraft in service forecasts
  • Identify business development opportunities and lead the development of RFI/RFP responses with the customer in conjunction with business development and legal
  • Coordinates, organizes, and delivers messaging and material for Program Review Meetings (PRM), Executive Review Meetings (ERM), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), other customer reviews, and internal V-GATE reviews
  • Develops and maintains key internal and external relationships
  • Mentors, develops, and elevates team members

Requirements
  • 15+ years of customer facing program or account management experience in a technology-oriented organization with the ability to use this broad and unique knowledge or skillset to develop objectives and achieve goals
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to work on and track multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act independently in a creative and strategic manner when implementing products, solving problems, and exercising judgement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Proven record of using sound judgement to independently work on special assignments and determine best course of action
  • Previous experience and responsibility for the financial management of a business area
  • Experience working on and successful completion of special and unique projects
  • Experience with guiding and mentoring members of the team
  • Previous business development experience
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • US citizenship required
