During her internship as a product design researcher, Jacqueline worked on an app to encourage airline passengers to engage more online, and on a separate prototype app for one of Viasat’s new international carriers.

“During my internship I liked that our mentors didn’t tell us what to do but instead gave us options that we could explore. I got to explore many things related to my interests, like machine learning and artificial intelligence. I even trained a chatbot using machine learning, which I loved.”

During her internship, Meenakshi created an offline chatbot that could be used by commercial aviation customers. She now works for the company full-time in our Chennai India office as a software engineer.

Our 10- to 12-week paid internship program provides college students the opportunity to join a group of the best and brightest from day one. You’ll get real job experience working on projects that develop new and existing technology for Viasat services and systems...and have fun doing it! We offer both remote and onsite internships at many of our United States offices.

• For final semester internship, you should have cleared backlogs, if any, until your pre-final semester results.
• For summer internship, you should have at least two academic semester terms remaining once you finish internship with us.
• Your university should permit you to attend an external industry internship for both types of internship – semester & summer.
• Available for full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the semester internship & 8 weeks for summer internship.
