Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main focal point for customer needs and requirements for the Viasat system.
  • Mange day to day relationship and lead multiple weekly call (by fleet type and customer)
  • Manage Viasat system delivery from concept to purchase order, installation and certification, through to handoff to the customer airline. 
  • Manage the supplier change management program to support successful incorporation of required changes to the Viasat system as well as continuing installs and aircraft service.
  • Assist business development with driving short and long term roadmap.
  • Monitor vendor performance scores. Implement improvement plans as necessary to achieve baseline vendor scores.
  • Build and manage a cross-functional team of engineers, developers, operations, logistics and field support as part of the customer program
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute standard project management including implementation plan, project schedule with milestones, project budget and variances, issues & action items log, meeting minutes, risks assessment and contingencies.
  • Partner with multiple operational teams to deliver in a timely fashion, to help identify pain points and areas of improvement, and to help increase supplier satisfaction. 
  • Anticipate problems and complications and formulate solutions so as not to impede the progress of the project.
  • Assume responsibility and drive ownership for issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain effective and productive internal and external relationships.
  • Prepare for and present bi-annual program reviews and annual audits.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or education 
  • 3-5 years of Customer facing Program Management experience in a technology-oriented organization.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to work on and track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when implementing products and solving problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical individuals.
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Excel and Project.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferences
  • Previous airline or OEM experience 
  • Software and hardware development oversight experience
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Previous customer facing experience
  • Ability to support domestic travel

The starting salary for this position is $118,500 annually, but an offered salary may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. This position may also be eligible for other cash or stock incentives, including Viasat’s Employee Stock Purchase Program, which allows Viasat employees to purchase Viasat stock at a discount.
