Job Responsibilities

As an Integrated Circuit Layout and CAD Engineer, you will have the opportunity to do the physical layout design of 1 to 100 GHz RFIC/MMICs for existing and advanced new product development programs. Your layout designwork could include low noise amplifiers, mixers, filters, Power Amplifiers and DAC/ADC IC design. You will also work on state of the art SiGe/CMOS/IIIV foundry processes. You will be trained in the use of state of the art CAD tools to do physical design/layout of RFIC and software coding to improve CAD layout design

Requirements

  • Associate‚Äôs Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering

  • Exposure or willingness to learn analog/mixed-signal layout design of deep sub-micron CMOS/SiGe/MMIC circuits

  • Knowledge of analog layout techniques such as common centroid layout, shielding, use of dummy devices, matching and thermal aware layout

  • Layouts may include analog blocks, and RFIC blocks operating from 10GHz to 100GHz.

  • Exposure or willingness to learn interpretation of CALIBRE and PVS DRC, ERC, LVS, etc. reports

  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with cross-functional teams

Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous internship experience
  • Exposure or previous experience with matching radio frequency layouts
  • Knowledge of CADENCE VXL layout tools
  • Exposure or previous experience using Linux
  • Exposure or previous experience in Lisp, Skill and/or ShellScripting
  • Previous experience using AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and/or SolidWorks
