Job Responsibilities

This is your opportunity to work hands on as a Business Intelligence Engineer assisting procurement personnel while learning the procurement profession. This position may include the opportunity to lead projects and see them being put into production. There is great exposure to content experts along the way, who are easily accessible and offer valuable insight. Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related discipline
  • Coursework and internships in business analytics
  • Working experience with Tableau and ETL tools such as Alteryx, Pentaho or Informatica
  • Exemplary oral and writing communication skills with a demonstrated track record of effectively presenting to technical & non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with large datasets, data processing and querying methods in relational databases
  • Can work independently given abstract tasks, understand the business relevance and provide recommendations based on the data.
  • Skilled in Project management and team leadership
  • Experience effectively translating between business value, requirements, and technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to support independent, high velocity, high quality decisions
  • Experience with big data, Business Intelligence tools, simulation, modeling, and statistics.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment
  • Capable of applying resourceful and creative thought processes to resolve complex problems
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management and/or customers
  • Strong relationship building, teamwork and communication skills
  • Skilled in articulating value and developing effective business cases
  • Adept at influencing cross functionally, developing consensus, and moving the business forward
  • Ability to translate business needs into system-based solutions
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferences
  • Previous internship experience is a plus
  • Fundamental understanding of Business Intelligence architectures and exposure to many platforms, languages, applications, and frameworks (R, Python, Perl, C++, Java, API’s, JSON, XML, HTML5/CSS, PHP, SQL, JIRA, OBIEE)
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (Impala, Hadoop, Spark)
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and Operations functions
